routes (easy, heavy or medium) near Baska. The map with marked
tourist footpaths you can become at
the local agency in Baska. Tall walking boots, drinking water, dry food
are recommended. On the demanding routes it is recommended to walk in
groups. Do not forget to take a map of the route and definitely do not
forget to take a camera.
One beautiful easy hiking route in Baska (also suitable for families
with small chidren) is the route to the the cemetery hill, near the
former parish church St. John. The view from here above is really
impressing!

MRGARI
On the hiking routes near
Baska you can visit "Mrgari". The "Mrgari" are marked on the map of
the marked tourist
footpaths.
"Mrgari" are dry wall buildings that take the shape of stone flowers.
"Mrgari" are intended for the temporary collection and classification of
sheep. These beautiful examples of local architecture can only be found
on the southern part of the Island of Krk and the
uninhabited neighbouring island of Prvic.

Hiking route near Dobrinj on the island of

The route is twenty kilometres long,
with eight checkpoints. The route passes through the picturesque
villages (Silo, Cestilac, Gostinjac, Sv. Vid, Dobrinj) which are typical
examples of island architecture and culture.
